It is with great sadness that I again let our organization know of the passing of one of our Directors’ and strongest allies in the Beach area. Russ Carlo, a Director on our Board, passed away on Weds. Feb.4th. He was a wealth of knowledge with anything that was Sound View. Russ would frequently reminisce about Sound View in earlier times when it was a vital getaway for the working class, even if was for only a weekend or vacation. Whether you agreed with his point of view or not, his only motive was always to make Sound View the best Beach in Connecticut. He would always make us laugh at a Directors meeting. On behalf of the SVBA, I want to offer our deepest condolences to his wife Rose Mary, daughters and family on their loss.
